REAL Christmas Eating Tips (Just Pig Out!)

Tis Christmas Time Once Again…

Now I’m sure you’ve seen numerous websites and fitness gurus all preaching their so called “Holiday Eating Tips”. It seems every fitness coach out there has the need to share some tips this time of year on how YOU can minimize the damage of over indulgence during the holidays.

(I’ll let you in on a little secret, even the “Fitness Gurus” are not going to follow their own advice. They are going to pig out and eat what ever they want over Christmas, despite all the tips they listed in their latest “healthy eating article”.)

Well, I’m not your “typical bodybuilding & fitness coach”
But I’m still going to offer some Holiday / Christmas Eating Tips. However, my tips are going to be totally opposite of anything you’ll hear from any other fitness coach.

Just watch the video below to see EXACTLY how you should this Christmas…

Note: I made this video for last Christmas, and
the same advice still applies for this year as well 😉

Note: if you can’t watch the embedded video here on this page, you can watch the video on my YouTube Chanel at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VLzx5BpdzU

I wish you all the best this holiday season…
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, (or whatever holiday you celebrate).
Just enjoy yourself and spend some quality time with your friends & family!

  • Good Evening Lee, Now that is the most truthful and easiest message we all can follow to date. I went out and enjoyed some family time with great foods and apple cider. Now I just sent out some pictures taken to the family and friends. Reading my e-mails now and you come up with this great advise… You are truly a down to earth and just one of the guys…No need to try and get all wound up on the holidays.. Just keep it real, enjoy the holidays and get back to training. That is how easy it is…Keep up the Good Work Lee… Merry Christmas… Herc.

  • Loved it when you started laughing

    Classic!

  • Jonathan

    I love you man!

  • Emil

    I agree! Thanks!

  • In Australia so just came home from a great family lunch. Obviously here it is summer, so our lunch was yummy finger foods, cheeses, olives, smoked salmon etc, a seafood entree, followed by cold roast chicken, pork, smoked ham and lots of salad stuff, finished off with a fruit salad bowl and ice cream.
Couple of wines and beers and i’ve just got back home and am ready for a sleep. Can’t agree more Lee. It’s Christmas. A day or 2 of pigging out isn’t going to set you back too far. In fact in most cases it will boot your metabolism along and actually help you lose weight down the track.
So everyone should enjoy your family and friends, tell them you love them and celebrate the Christmas holidays in whatever way you do.

  • Love it! You are so right about the *other* guys. One said eat a full meal before you go to eat so you won’t be hungry. LOL. Like someone would really do that on Christmas. I love the rubber tree in the background.. gorgeous. Merry Christmas to you and Trish. Looking forward to 2012 and being in the best shape of my life. I have lost 50 # and 5 sizes this year..

  • Alex

Great advice, that’s exactly how i do it every year.
As long as you’re not preparing for a show, bodybuilding should be a pleasure, not an awfull sacrifice..
Traditions are here for a reason.
I wish you and your family a wonderfull Christmas !!

  • Roland

YES, That was so much fun to watch and listen to , that I cracked up with laughter and still have the biggest and widest grin on m y face. Tell it like it is Lee! Those loved one of ours made that meal for us to enjoy, and we bring a happiness to their hearts when we eat eat eat and eat like the male piggies we really are when it comes to good food. Make the ladies happy and indulge and enjoy the eating over the holidays, is really where it is “at”. Good show LEE…Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all.

    Lee,

Great advice!!! My wife and I work out and eat very healthy all year long. We had company over for Christmas Eve, and we made lasagna (I have to say we cook better than most restaurants). We just had leftovers for breakfast; couldn’t get enough. It’s healthy to eat some things that you don’t normally eat, ONCE IN A WHILE. Wanted to let you know that your tips and videos have been very helpful, and appreciated. Hope you and Trish have a great holiday.

Merry Christmas Lee. I love your advise and except for a little extra wine I did quite well. But I did skip the gym as my wife insists going to the gym every day at my age (65) is excessive. Well I did enjoy myself and appreciate your candid and honest advise. See you in the new year.

    Ken

  • Brian

  • Got to do what the little women and my coach tells me to do Pig out see ya in 2012 Happy New Year.

  • Rick DeCamp

    Lee,
I’ve got a show in 3 months and decided I could eat what I wanted for Christmas and, try and work it off before my competition. Amazingly, I just look fuller but not fat or bloated. I’m to chicken to go off my competition eating program before a show, but this feels really good to be able to enjoy all the goodies of Christmas and New Years and still know I can be in shape to compete later. I’m pretty strict with myself – but it’s felt good to enjoy the season with my fork too.

  • Rod

Hey Lee, you are so right with your statement. I enjoyed loading tons of food during 3 days in a row and I enjoyed having some good glasses of wine. And it even tastes double as good if you were focusing on a strict bodybuilding diet before.

Big fun was my first workout on the 27th. My weight dropped by 0.5kg despite of the fact that I loaded more than 3800 calories three days in a row. What is about twice as much as my daily input.

Don’t ask me how that happened. I don’t know 🙂

I wish you a happy new year and all the best for 2012!

    Mischa

  • Alex

I did pig out and it was totally worth it..
I got back to training yesterday, the 28th, and my muscles look fuller, i’m stronger and i didnt gain any weight at all.
I was on a caloric deficit so the carb up days really helped me, i usually have a cheat day but this was almost 4 high cheating days in a row and it really felt like a reward, both phisically and mentally.
    Thx 4 the advice 😉

  • Thanks-a-mundo for the blog.Really thank you! Great.

  • Rick

Did this go ot by mistake – IT’S JUNE!! This is good information, but either very early or very late!!

  • Thanks for the comments. Both Trish and I had an awesome Christmas. We divided up our time with both my folks and Trish’s folks over the holidays. And at each place we were stuffed with delicious turkey dinners 🙂
