Homemade High Protein Meal Replacement Shake

No doubt you’ve seen these individually packaged high protein meal replacement shakes on the supplement store shelves. They are great for quick convenient meals on the run. You can pack them in your gym bag, in your brief case, travel bag, etc. and always have a high protein meal anywhere you go.

The draw back to these meal replacements is the price, they can run as much as $5 for a single shake. So if you were to consume a couple of these a day the cost can quickly add up.

In this video below I’ll show you how to make a “homemade” alternative that costs less than half the price, and still has all the nutritional benefits and convenience of the more expensive pre-packaged high protein meal replacement shakes.

And if you’d like to get more “homemade” supplement variations to expensive name brand supplements than I highly recommend you check out the Homemade Supplement Secrets Guide below.

However the blueberry flavour Veggie Greens mixed with Vanilla protein shake rocks. I figure, if it tastes good, you are more likely to keep making good decisions re: meals on the run…

I guess it depends on the persons taste, I have a shake with greens and chocolate whey almost every day. I love it.

BTW, the easiest way to get your shake out of a sandwich bag is to cut one of the bottom corners off and pour it out like a funnel.

    Great Video

And I agree the blueberry and vanilla sounds like it might taste better

I’m just using regular greens and I actually like the taste. But you can get flavored greens which may drinking them more enjoyable. It’s not a “must have” to include with this shake. Most MRP’s supplements don’t have any greens included.

This is great confirmation to something I’ve been doing for this last year. I’ve been using products from Isagenix – it’s excellent stuff and great nutirition, really has changed my life. Finances have gotten very tight lately and I’ve wondered how to replace their line with homemade products and get the same or better results. I’ve been using two scoops of Isalean shake mix with a scoop of Isagreens, a handful of frozen fruit, (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, banana), and a tablespoon of natural peanut butter. It’s my start to every day and I love it. It’s great to know that I can go with less expensive alternatives with out the guilt.

Hey Lee must hot water be added to the MRP so that the oatmeal can be cooked? Can it be eaten just with room temperature water? Then why do you always add boiling water to your oatmeal in your breakfast videos.

  • sheldon

yeah i was wondering the same thing about the oatmeal.but i guess in my case id just blend the oats to a finer powder so its easier to drink.thats acceptable right?

    Lee,

This is by far one of the best tips I’ve gotten from you(and all of them have been great). This is about as common sense as it gets. Those MRP’s are expensive, no matter how good they are. Thanks for all you do for the average “Joe’s” like myself who are trying to get by.

You don’t need to cook rolled oats. You can eat (or in this case drink) them as they are. Rolled oats have already been steamed, rolled, cut, and dried so they are already “cooked”.

I have looked at every Wal-Mart and cant find rolled oats. Where else may have them or am I just retarded.
