Straight Up Answers to Straight Up Questions:
As you can imagine, over the last two-weeks we’ve had over hundreds of questions about the 21-Day Fast Mass Building Program land in our inboxes, YouTube comments, FaceBook pages and blog. So right now we want to take a moment to reply with some legitimate concerns and questions:
Q: What exactly is the 21 Day Fast Mass Building Program and how does it work so fast?
It’s simply a new bodybuilding nutrition and training approach we developed – it’s quite different from anything bodybuilders are doing right now in America, Canada, the UK, Australia or Europe. The bottom line is that if your goal is not looking like an average person, you have to “trick” the body constantly in order to have different hormonal systems primed at different times.
The secret to the system is dramatic or “whiplash” calorie cycling that sets up The Anabolic Amplifier Effect, which occurs after you underfeed the body for a period of time and overfeed the body for a period of time. We call the underfeed part The Primer Phase and the overfeed part The Overload Phase. By cycling your calorie intake over the correct period of time, your average fat mass will not increase, but your average lean body mass will go up significantly!
Q: Why is this better than going on a conventional “bulking diet” where you overeat for an entire season and then take 12 weeks to cut up? Doesn’t Vince’s NNMB program endorse this style of bulking up?
Yes it does. Remember, you must look at the context and backdrop behind every program we release. NNMB was the plan Vince used eight years ago to build from 149-pounds to 190-pounds – his first every physique transformation. Maximize Your Muscle helped Vince go from 190-lbs to 210 lbs. 21 Day FMB, our new program, recently helped Vince go from 214 pounds to 227 lbs. As our bodies and training years progress, we learn new information and share it with you. Plain and simple. We’re not contracting our selves. All of our info works – it just depends on where you are starting and who you are.
In our experience (and many of our clients), conventional bulking only works once, or twice, in your life and it really only works for ultra, ultra skinny guys completely new to bodybuilding. It’s not a sustainable model to repeat year in and year for the rest of your life. This is why NNMB didn’t work for Vince forever. It only took him so far as it will for you.
Simply put: if you find that conventional bulking results in gaining more fat than muscle, 21 Day Fast Mass Building has your name written all over it and you should give it an honest shot.
Q: How did Lee discover The Anabolic Amplifier Effect?
It’s a fact that the best muscle gains in your life always occur after dieting for a certain period of time. No wonder bodybuilders hit the gym right after a big show instead of taking time off! They know their body will respond like a sponge and absorb all the nutrients it’s given at peak efficiency in response to the deprived state its been in for a while. Your body will always be primed to gain more weight in the form of muscle mass in response to the underfeed period that came before it.
Basically, bodybuilders have discovered that we have a small time window – which we named The Overload Phase – long enough for muscle growth to occur at a rapid and substantial rate, while short enough to keep a significant amount of fat from being stored as adipose tissue. The Anabolic Amplifier Effect has been around for 40 to 50 years and we simply figured out how to create mini 21-day bulking/cutting cycles – instead of spending 6 months bulking and 3 months cutting. The 21-day cycle will work very well every time you try it.
Q: How many times can I use the 21-day cycle?
I would recommend doing low- and high-calorie cycles, back to back, as long you continue to gain new muscle with each cycle. Who are we to say what you can’t do but like all programs you’ll probably experience diminishing returns with each 21-day cycle so keep that in mind. Vince gained 7.4 lbs in his first cycle and then 3 lbs in his second cycle. Basically, whenever you want to dial in for an intense 21-days – fire this baby up! For my people, it’s mind-boggling to wrap their minds around an entire season of bulking followed by 12-weeks of cutting. 21-days is a period of time that anyone can put his or her mind to, which is why we like shorter-burst style programs to complete.
Q: Will I adapt to it?
It’s hard to say. Like anything, the longer you follow the same routine the more diminishing returns you’ll experience. We’re confident that you could probably knock out two or three cycles before you transition back to a more moderate program. The answer really lies in how well you manage cycling your calories. Vince personally found that two 21-day cycles was plenty for himself and has returned to a straight-up cutting program right now.
Q: To whom do you recommend the Fast Mass Building Program?
This is the type of muscle-building program we would highly and strongly recommend to drug free weight trainers who are trying to increase muscle mass without gaining fat. In fact, you might even experience a loss of bodyfat while you gain muscle mass and if you do – consider that a bonus! We do not recommend this program for anyone is currently obese. To be more specific, no body should start with this program if they have more than 30 pounds of fat to lose.
Q: Would this work for someone taking steroids?
We’re not sure about that since we’re both 100% drug free. For what we do know about steroid use, we would be concerned that if someone is coming off a steroid cycle, the body’s hormonal system may not function properly and will not respond to The Anabolic Amplifier Effect from the Overload Phase. If someone is taking steroids – the body may not respond positively based on the interrupted feedback loops, but in all honesty – we don’t really know.
Q: How did you recruit your “Test Group?”
That was the easy part! We posted a newsfeed on Facebook and got almost 50 of our friends volunteer to try out a beta-version of the program. Both of us then went to our top customers and recruited another 50 people. We started recruiting people in early November 2010. We only posted a small number of the actual success stories on this page.
Q: What if I’m currently on a high-calorie diet or low-calorie diet and I want to try the program?
If you’re currently consuming an excess number of calories, you should start with the Primer Phase (low-calorie phase) to “re-prime” your anabolic engine, in a matter of speaking. If you already on a low-calorie diet, and working towards a photo shoot or physique show, right now would be a great time to start the program with the Overload Phase (high-calorie phase).
Q: What kinds of supplements are involved when following 21-Day Fast Mass Building?
Our supplement strategy is very similar to our nutrition strategy – variety and timing is vital. We don’t agree with “random shot gunning” or taking supplements with no rhyme or reason. We believe that you can maximize the use of various supplements as well as save money by cycling supplements for 21-days at a time – then take a break. The body adapts to virtually everything, which is why if you don’t want to stay the same – if you want to grow – you have to constantly change things.
We do recommend “stacking” certain amino acids 15minutes before you workout, 30 minutes into the workout and immediately upon completion of your workout. These ingredients slam water into your muscle cells to potentiate cell volumizing and also elevate insulin levels (to combat cortisol and transport nutrients into muscles) and glycogen storage – crucial factors for building fast mass. For full disclosure, these few supplements are not mandatory pieces of the program, but they will give you an anabolic edge.
Q: Are there any downsides to the program?
Depending on how many 21-day cycles you go through, you’ll probably have to buy new clothes – but this means you’ll look all the more impressive in whatever you wear!
Traditionally, high-calorie bulking diets can lead to a few unwanted effects, such as increased cholesterol levels and a greater risk of cardiovascular disease, but since our Overload Phase is only two weeks in length and preceded by a one week Primer Phase (a fat-loss phase), we don’t believe there will be any adverse health consequences. All the calories in the Muscle Power Meal Plans are based on the top 20 muscle-building and fat-loss foods in existence. We’re confident in saying the 21 Day Fast Mass Building Program is very safe. You should however always contact your doctor before trying any diet or exercise program.
Q: What are the advantages to the program?
The program has various advantages over other diets, which make it much easier and realistic to follow. Our program offers variation, thus, it won’t be boring to follow; it doesn’t promote a lifestyle that prevents you from functioning in a social context; it’s based on legitimate scientific finding; it’s been tested on over 100 Test Subjects; bodybuilders have been exploiting The Anabolic Amplifier Effect for 50 to 60 years now; the “perfect” macronutrient ratios are not as important as the total goal calories in each phase (far easier to tackle); and the program allows you to make changes within the 21-day framework of the diet and training in terms of your individual ambitions and goals.
If you look at other diets like the ketogenic diet, the Zone diet, very high-protein diets, starvation diets, very low-fat diets, high carbohydrate diets, and high-fat diets, many of the things mentioned above are not corresponding.
Q: How long does it take to ship the program?
About 10 seconds to 2 minutes, depending on your computer. After you purchase, you’ll get immediate access to the entire 21 Day Fast Mass Building program so you can download it to your own computer and start this coming Monday. Nothing is shipped in the mail so you don’t have to wait for slow snail mail or wait to start adding mass and seeing results.
Q: What if I’m not a “young buck”, will this work if I’m considerably older?
It’s interesting because we recently surveyed our readerships and found that over 36% of our readers are males between 45-70 years of age and some of our clients in their 50’s and 60’s experience just as impressive results – and sometimes better- than the “young bucks.” If you believe age is just a number than I don’t see any reason why you won’t experience your fastest muscle gains to date.
FYI: muscle is a metabolic marker that tricks your body into looking and feeling younger. Ever seen a muscular 75 year old in your gym? He probably looks like he’s in his 50’s. Why? Muscle! It’s never too late to start packing on pounds of muscle and be that hunk your wife wants you to be.
Q: I’m a female and interested. Will this work just as fast for me?
100% girlfriend! Although our Test Group was primarily male dominant Lee and I would both put our ladies – Trish and Flavia – on this program. We like our ladies firm and curvy, not flabby or frail looking. This program does not favor males, a certain age, experience level or any other factor. The program works for everyone from any walk of life. The only person this program is not for is lazy tire-kickers.
Q: I’m a complete beginner and wondering if I should try this program?
Man up and stop wondering! Just start with the Fitness Model Physique program and you’re good to go. Our belief is that the best program out there is the one that you follow. As you print off the meal plans and follow the workouts as prescribed you’re going to build some big muscle fast. My prediction is that you’ll pack on 10 lbs. of quality mass by February 7th. As you can read from the testimonials above, our Test Group consisted of many young guy who have less than one-year of lifting experience so you should give it a shot.
Q: What if the program doesn’t work for me?
Well with that attitude, it probably won’t work for you… Our belief is that a program does not fail you; only you can fail the program. As you can see, you really do have access to some powerful anabolic hormones – real insulin, IFG-1, and testosterone – a source you can use to pack on pounds of muscle by February 7th.
However… if after you follow the program exactly as outlined in the resources, and you do not build muscle size and strength faster in 21 days than you ever have previously, just shoot us a email and we’ll give you your money back. No hard feelings and we can still be friends.
The 21-Day Fast Mass Building Program just flat out makes sense. It’s backed by strong science, years of real world experience, a recent 100 man Test Group and we’re predicting thousands and thousands of people saying only one thing, “Dang…why didn’t we think of this sooner… it makes so much sense and this is far smarter and faster than any other muscle building diet or program out there!”

Dear Lee, I’m a full time job guy who sits on his desk more than 9 hours a day. Which program / books you do recommend for me to loose the belly & chest fat while building more muscels. I want to have noticable but not huge muscels.
Would appreciate your detailed guidance with list of books / trainning / diet needed.
DazT (Darren)
Wow congratulations guys, i hope you enjoy it. I’ll have to wait a while to try it!

Does it work for all Ages??

Congrats guys…looks like you guys who put your last names had an advantage over those who didn’t.

Congratulations to all the winners and good luck. I wish that I had won because I’m out of work right now and I cannot afford to buy the program.
John Jarmamillo
How come I haven’t received my email yet…whatever I’m so glad I won thanks so much guys.

Oh well. I wasn’t expecting to win, with my rotten luck. I’ve never won a contest or giveaway before and I was hoping this would be the first haha. But it’s alright!
I’m pretty broke now so I guess I’ll give this program a miss

Hey John,
This is the “Real Lee Hayward” here. Some jack ass replied to some comments here saying that he was me. But I hope you know that I wouldn’t give some lame stupid answer like he posted. Anyway, that guy was blocked so hopefully we won’t have to deal with that anymore.
To answer your question it really depends on what you are currently doing physically with regards to exercise right now. I know your job isn’t physical. But what’s your current workout routine like right now?
If you have been working out consistently for at least 6 weeks or more than you could follow our new 21-Day Fast Mass Building Program. There is actually an option included in the nutrition guide for folks who are a little on the heavy side and want to drop bodyfat while gaining lean muscle.
Now if you are brand new to working out, or just coming off a long layoff from training. Then I’d suggest you start off with something more basic for the first month in order to build up your base level of conditioning. A simple schedule of alternating doing a basic full body weight training workout 1 day and a cardio workout the next day is a great schedule that I often recommend here.
After that initial break in period you could then move into the full fledged 21-Day Fast Mass Building Program.

Congrats! you’ll be sent the full program when it goes live on Tuesday… Can’t ruin the surprise 😉

Ideally you would train at a gym. Both Vince and I train at a gym and we wouldn’t have it any other way. The variety of equipment you have available and the quality of commercial equipment just can’t be beat.
Now with that being said you can still follow the program in a well equipped home gym. If you have an adjustable bench, barbells, dumbbells, squat / power rack, and some basic cables pulley machines or heavy duty rubber fitness bands such as http://www.bodylasticbands.com you can follow the program from home.
leehayward
Yes, it works for all ages. We’ve literally had everyone from teenagers to guys in their 60’s follow the program as part of our initial test group and they all got very impressive results!
In fact you can see some of their results at:
https://leehayward.com/blog/21-day-fast-mass-building-results/
leehayward
Honestly, yes… that helped because we received over 1,200 blog entries and we used the full names as a way to help us narrow down the choices. Can you imagine if we had of said something like:
“Congrats Bill, John, Dave, etc. you guys all won!”
We’d get like 50 e-mails from all the Bill’s, another 50 from all the Dave’s, John’s, etc. asking if it was them who was chosen and it would have been just chaos trying to sort it out. That’s why we went with full names.
Shannon Stokely
I just wanted to say a quick congrats to those that won.

Can you use nnmb workouts following the principles and diet of the 21day fast mass building system?
MUHAMMAD ABDULLAH
Hi lee !!! hope you are hale and hearty !!!
i congrate all 20 winners for being selected for this program and hope they will achieve their goal!!!
i was sure that i can not win but still you motivated me to participate in this contest and alas !!! Next time i’ll win !!! i hope so !!!
keep smiling bro!!!
Phil Page a.k.a. D_Lifter
Wow! You motivated me to enter when you “upped” the winners from 10 to 20. I was one of the lucky 20 and wasn’t going to enter originally. It just proves the point that you never succeed if you don’t try.
Thank-you gentlemen for giving me this “kick up the backside”!
And I am now highly motivated!
Good luck to all that use this program and lets see what some hard work and focussed dedication can do in the coming weeks and months…
JC
Thx for the opportunity guys, I’ll still b purchasing when it come available Tuesday. Congradulations on you winners and hope that you can achieve your goals with this, and b safe.
leehayward
Yes!
In fact, that’s what many of our Test Group people did. Many of them were using No Nonsense Muscle Building, Maximize Your Muscle, Blast Your Bench, Blast Your Biceps, or there own program in conjunction with our nutrition calorie cycling system.
leehayward
Congrat Phil, who knows… Maybe you’ll be featured as a future Fast Mass Building Success Story on the website! 😉

leehayward,
I appreciate very much your answer, and congratiolations to all the winners I know they all deserve it more than many of us, and I hope they take advantage of their win.
Ryan Black
Just wanted to thank you Vinny and Lee for choosing me as one of the lucky 20 winners! Cant wait to recieve the program, try it out, and put it to use with some of my clients! Im so stoked right now!
Thanks!
John
leehayward,
Thank you Lee for the advice, just to give you an idea, I stopped working out for the previous 1 year (currently I have 22% of body fat at 95 Kgs). In 2008 I was on 12% fat (at 79 Kgs) with tonned muscels that showed through tight shirts & no lovehandels.
I’m now above 32 years & I feel that it is very hard to loose fat if compared to the mid twenties till thirty as if my body slowed down.
I’ll keep to your above advice (back to routine of 1 month followed by yr new program) unless you recommend anything else based on the above additional facts.
Thanking you.
ed
I have NNMB and was about to start it this year, but I heard of this and it sounds a lot better…So I was wondering should i purchase this and start nnmb and then do 21 or do 21 or not use nnmb. I was wondering if 21 is used first, does that mean nnmb is longer needed since 21 doesn’t consist seasonal bulking and a 12 week cutting?
leehayward
Both programs will work, the 21-Day FMB program is our latest program and honestly the most complete program to date. But NNMB still works, I’ve got a copy of that one myself and it’s a kick ass program. Go through the 21-Day FMB, then when you feel like you need a change, either physically or mentally, follow the NNMB program or another program.
Bottom line is that bodybuilding is a lifestyle, and hopefully you’ll use lots of different programs over the course of your lifetime. That’s what I do and even though I’ve been working out since 1990 I still learn new things all the time. In fact I’ve picked up lots of killer tips that I’ve never heard of before just from working with Vince on developing this program. And I’m sure Vince will say the same thing as well. Bottom line we never stop learning and we never stop growing. It’s a life long process.

bahahahahaha what a load of shit

Hey Lee,
I have spoken with an experienced bodybuilder at my gym, he is actually a doctor too and is 250 @ 10% bodyfat at 6 ft. He has been winning many shows and I asked him about his opinion on a 21 day program.
He said he has tried hundred of progrms but nothing has worked better than lifting heavy and eating clean. He has said short-term programs like this are bogus. I’ve also visited Scooby’s (who is 240@8% looks amazing for his age) free site, where he says Vince Del Monte’s book is a scam. He also says it is only possible to gain 12 lbs of muscle a year.
With all due respect, both the guy at the gym and Scooby have much more muscle than you and Vince and do look better, so why should I buy this program rather than listening to them?
I am still interested in the program because I respect you guys, but if I buy it and follow it do you guarantee a minimum muscle gain in 21 days?
Thanks for any feedback.
David Frost
How long are the workouts?
Chad
Instead of 1 week phase 1 and 2 weeks phase 2, would 2 weeks phase 1 and 3 or 4 weeks for phase 2 have similar results? since the “bulk” phase is still clean eating, I like getting really lean on a little longer phase 1 and then hitting it hard for 3 or 4 weeks. Will it game the same affect??
Although it is not a “fat loss” program, I lost 8 pounds the first 3 days. I was already about 12% body fat so I wasn’t overweight, which made it even more interesting. Its an amazing program. On my 2nd cycle now and staying off the scale till I’m done so Im not tempted to adjust anything by what the scale says.

It sucks! I didn’t win

Hey David. We have 3 workouts:

Each one varies from 45-75 minutes a workout… depending on if you do the lower or higher end of the volume scale.

Hi Vince and Lee,
Thanks for selecting me out of all the contestants that entered the contest. I was amazed to find that I was chosen. I haven’t won anything for free in years. It was Lee’s email that encouraged me to go ahead and post a comment. It stated without even trying your chances of winning are zero. Thanks Lee for your words of encouragement. I look forward to using the 21 Fast Mass Muscle Building System and participating in the upcoming competition.

Well congratulations to the 20 winners!!! Boy I was realy hopeing and praying to be one of you??? Thought I was going to be… All I can say is I REALY CHALLANGE YOU AND HOPE YOU FULLY PUT YOURSELVES AND IT TO THE TEST!!!!! Hey Vince!!!!!!!!!! Where are the 7 free dvds I signed up for?????
Ryan Man
Hi I have $100 and I dont know if I should buy NNMB or FMB. NNMB interest me because its for skinny people. Im 15, 5,6 tall, 115lbs, 8%bf, and im pretty ripped and active but i want to gain serious muscle mass. I dont have access to squat cage but i do have bar bells, pull-up bar, and bench at home. Could you guys help me pick out which one i best suits me? Congrats to all the winners.
Matt
If using full names meant so much then why didn’t you suggest people use their full names? I wonder how many of those 1200+ were eliminated this way. I also want to reach out to those that are posting stuff like “It sucks that I didn’t win.” Or “I can’t afford it.” It’s one thing to point out a seemingly minor detail that may or may not have resulted in being selected. It’s another to simply bitch about shortcomings that most likely could be overcome with the right attitude. The price hasn’t even been disclosed. How do you know you can’t afford it? Vince stated already that it would be reasonably priced. If you want to make a lifestyle change badly enough, you’ll make some changes to come up with the money. Quit whining, get off your ass and make it happen!!!
Eddys Velasquez
Wow! Thats freakin awesome 🙂
Out of sooo many comments I really didn’t think I would win but this great!
Thank you guys!
I’ll be sure to work my ass off to get some good before and after pictures on the website…

Hi Lee and Vince i wanted to know about how many calories will i need to eat each day on primer and bulk stages and about low estimate and high estimate on how much ut will cost me each week to follow each phase i am also looking to take creatine could you guys please recommend a good brand on bodybuilding.com
thanks CD
leehayward
The 21 day program is a training and nutritional cycle. It doesn’t mean you’ll be finished working out in 21 days and you can quit. 21 days is just the way we structured our cycles to make it more effective. But we could have just as easily broken it down into a weekly training cycle (which is how most people organize their workouts) and called it 7 day muscle 😉
Bottom line, this is a training cycle that you would repeat over and over just like any other workout routine you are following. It’s just that we have incorporated calorie cycling into a muscle building program to speed up muscle growth. Similar to how most main stream fat loss programs have incorporated calorie cycling into weight loss programs to speed up fat loss.
As for the guys at your gym, I’m sure they are very knowledgeable and have great physiques. I’ve never claimed to be the best built guy, I know lots of guys who have better physiques than I do. But non-the-less I’ve still made good improvements in my physique over the years. But the main thing is that I’ve been able to help literally thousands of others get in shape as well. That’s what really motivates to keep doing this day after day, month after month, and year after year…
As for Scooby, he is very popular and I agree with a lot of his advice, but there are several things of his that I DON’T agree with. But I’m not going to go around and publically bash the guy or calling him a lier, scammer, or anything else. We just have different opinions on things.
You see anyone who is ignorant enough to call Vince a scammer, etc. doesn’t know Vince personally. I’ve seen him transform his body from a skinny runner to a competitive muscle model. In fact before Vince ever had a book, website, or anything online he was a follower of mine (just like you reading this now). I personally helped Vince train for his very first fitness competition. I know what Vince has done and how much he has improved over the years.
What Vince has done is wrote a book about his personal progress and physique transformation success. He shares how he made such good improvements in his physique which are 100% legit by the way. Vince really was a skinny guy who weighed 149 pounds. He has literally gained 78 pounds of muscle since he started working out.
How is writing a book about his personal fitness success story a scam?
leehayward
The calories will vary depending on the individual metabolism, but the guideline is to eat a caloric deficit in the primer phase to deplete your body and then double those calories during the overload phase to rapidly fill out your muscles and jack up your natural anabolic hormones. How to calculate all this out is covered in great detail within the Nutrition Guide Manual that’s included with the program.
leehayward
Congrats, I’m looking forward to seeing your pics!

I am absolute beginner in mass building. Can I directly start on 21 day mass building program?
I recently got Vince’s NNMB program and it suggests to start with Upside Down Training. Would you recommend doing UDT before starting on 21 day mass building program or the 21 day program takes care of it and I can directly jump into it?
I would appreciate your suggestion.

As long as you have been working out for at least 6 weeks. You are good to go with the 21-Day FMB program. With the workouts you are simply going to lift at your own level anyway. I mean you don’t have to lift the same as we do in the videos, they are just there for education and motivation. Simply get started and go at your own pace.

You’ll get the price tonight, can’t give it away yet LOL… 😉
As for creatine I’m using Blue Star and I love it. They are a Canadian company that makes some top quality supplements. You can check them out at: http://www.BlueStarMuscle.com and yes they ship to the USA in case you are wondering.

Yeah that figures I didn’t win. I’d like to win one of these damn giveaways just once to know that they aren’t bullshit like I think they are.
