Those friggen spam bots are everywhere…
Every single day I’ve had to go in a delete 50+ spam bot comments on my blog. They’ve been posting everything from viagra, to online gambling, to penis enlargement, and you name it… Those friggen bots have been cluttering the place up. Anyway, I just installed a new plugin to hopefully eliminate the spam bots for good! So I’m asking you for a favor to help me test it out and make sure that it works and only filters out spam comments, but still let’s all legit comments go through. |

Hi Lee, I use Akismet – rarely do I get SPAM comments posted to my blog – all the kinds you describe all get sent to a SPAM folder for my review, but there are so few false positives that I just bulk delete them.

That’s exactly what I mean, I was getting 50-100 spam comments a day that I had to manually approve or disapprove. Now since I’ve added the word press spam plugin I get 0 spam bot comments. So it saves all the time that it took me to manually go in a delete them.
