If you are not friends with me on facebook you are missing out on all the fun…
That’s because just very recently I did:
“The Great Canadian Cardio Workout”
And captured some very inspirational footage on film…
I think it’s worthy of a Hollywood Production myself. At the very least it should rank high in a Canadian film festival 😉
Anyway, before I made the video I posted the following on my facebook page:
======================================
Yesterday I did the “Great Canadian Cardio Workout” and made a video of it… I’ll be posting it up within the next day or two, but any guesses as to what that cardio workout might be?
If you can guess the correct answer for what my “Great Canadian Cardio Workout” is you might win a prize 🙂
======================================
And as you can imagine there were some very interesting reply’s such as:
…Rowing
…Canoeing
…Chopping Down Trees
…kayaking
…Ice Fishing
…Lumberjack Wood Chopping
…Skiing
…Hockey
…Cross Country Skiing
…Wrestling Bears
…F*cking a moose? (yes someone actually posted that)
…Cutting Wood
…Chasing Your Dog
…Horseback Riding
…Mountain Biking
…Tree Climbing
Now all of these were good answers, except for the one about the Moose…
But non of them were right. Until “Bob” guessed the right answer and won the prize!
Note: if you can’t watch the embedded video clip above,
then you can watch it directly on my YouTube channel at:

I’m sure this video will make for some interesting blog comment discussions 🙂

Portaging workout
First you us your upper body to load up your backpack with gear and get the canoe in the river. Work-out your back by paddling the canoe until you cannot go any further and use your legs to drag it out of the water. Get the canoe on your back and hike, carrying it until you reach another body of water. Repeat until you reach your destination

HEY LEE, great video, and thanks for not showing the MOOSE THING—-LOL LOL!

Maybe you should reconsider the Moose! I’ve been all over YouTube and I can’t find a single video of that. You’d be the first! (And probably the last).

Although I agree that shoveling snow is s huge workout, but I think you should have put some stretching in at the start. More muscles are pulled, ripped, and torn by shoveling snow. Good job on your driveway though

How’d that dog climb that mountain so fast?
And I’m impressed with the snowfall. It is in the 80’s here in Alabama. We took the boat out today and went wakeboarding. Hard to imagine having to shovel snow right now.
