    Hi Lee!
Could you perhaps mail me the recipe as i do not have sound on the computer at work?
    Thank you

  • Mike

Thats a great recipe! Thanks! but you shouldnt be using virgin olive oil for cooking!!! use that one for salads and the regular ones for cooking. Its supposed to be really unhealthy. just wanted to tell you.

    Greets from Europe

  • David

I agree with Mike. Coconut oil would be the best choice.

  • Allan Fleming

That looks great Lee, i will try it! Here is one for you,

75 grams fine oats, 1 whole egg, 20 grams raisins, 1+1/2 scoops chocolate whey, splash of milk. Mix in a bowl and micro for 30 secs. Remove, stir and micro for another 30 sec. Remove, add 1 teaspoon peanut butter and stir untill its the consistency of a thick cake mixture! Enjoy!

  • I’d love to hear more feedback about what you think about cooking with olive oil being unhealthy.

I know at: http://www.oliveoilsource.com/cooking_olive_oil.htm they say that it’s just a big misconception. To quote their website:
“Heating olive oil will not change its health aspects, only the flavor.”

Please get a chopping board that noise goes through me lol

LOL I don’t break out the cutting board unless I’m doing some major chopping… For a few veggies like this a plate is fine 😉

    hey lee,

Got a quick question… when you heat protein in a microwave will the protein get lost??

  • Anders S. Joergensen

Comment on the “cooking with oliveoil”-issue: I’ve also heard the “rumour” that it should be unhealthy, but I’ve conducted a little investigation on the internet, and it seems that there should’t be any problems with using it for cooking, as long as you keep it on the rigt side of smoking-point.

Great stuff, by the way Lee – your newsletters keeps one from forgetting “the mission”!

Great breakfast, but I have a question. Being a father of 3 and a teacher/coach, I have to get up and get to the gym by 5am. When should I take in my protein, creatine, and some kind of pick me up so I am ready to push the weights that early? I am currently trying to put on mass.

AWSOME,Hey LEE , I remember you posted a recipe for protein shake muffins can you post that again please?? that was great

  • Frenzeco

Hey lee,can you please e.Mail me the recipe,im using my phone. What can i do at home if i didnt go to the gym. Thanks

  • Salvatore

You can cook with REFINED olive oil but not with EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil. That’s what Mike was getting at and he’s 100% correct. The smoke point for EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil is very low. That means it breaks down into harmful cancer causing compounds when heated.

You use REFINED olive oil for cooking, baking, frying, etc… and you pour cold-pressed EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil on your dishes AFTER they’re cooked.

Here’s another tip… if smoke rises from the pan when you’re cooking, throw the food in the garbage. The smoke means the oil has exceeded its “smoke point” and has broken down into cancer causing compounds.

    Hi Lee

my main breakfast is omletts with veggies but only using the whole egg is this good for you,or do you suggest using the egg whites as your recipe. can you email me your omlett recipe.

  • My past recipes can be found on my YouTube channel at: http://www.YouTube.com/leemhayward

The ingredients for this one is:
    – chopped mushrooms, onions, peppers, etc. to taste.
    – 1 cup of liquid egg whites
    – 2 whole eggs
    – 1 heaping tablespoonful of ground flaxseeds
    – large handful of baby spinach
    – 2 slices of fat free cheese

Stir fry the mushrooms, onions, & peppers in the pan.
Add in the egg whites / eggs.
Sprinkle the ground flaxseeds over the top.
Cover the eggs with baby spinach.
Place lid on the pan and let the heat steam the spinach for a few minutes.
Put the cheese slices on top and fold the eggs over to melt the cheese.

No offense, guy, but Lee is a bodybuilder, not a medical practitioner. It is ridiculous to ask him what to do about your gout. Follow your doctor’s advice.

  • shafeeq

    hello Mr Lee
can u tell me which time is the best wok out morning or evening?

    Hey Ed,

Like Salvatore said I’m no expert in gout. But if you spend some time and google up “gout” I’m sure you’ll get lots of info that could help you out.

  • Ed

to the guy who doesnt understand the question mind your own business
it was not a medical question its about alternative supplements if you knew how to read!

  • Ed

hey lee well thanks anyways i thought you would know about other supplements
    to substitute.

Hey Lee. I see you are promoting that liquid egg white product. I have read your testimonial that you are using it. When i go to the website it says they only ship “within the US”. Since you are in Newfoundland how do you buy this product?

I’m a big fan of liquid egg whites. I was chatting with the guys who own the company when I was down at the Olympia in Vegas and their product is top notch and very affordable.

But when I’m home in Canada I just buy my liquid egg whites at the grocery store. Granted they are more expensive then egg whites international, but egg whites are egg whites non-the-less.

On a side note, I think it’s weird that they call themselves “Egg Whites International” when they are only a US based company… But oh well 😉

Yep too bad we can’t get it here in Canada… I talked with the rep too at the olympia and told me it was because of tight laws and regulations at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency…

Costco has the best price on egg whites… only $4.69 for 3 cars og 500ml… This is where I buy mine…

  • That’s a classic! Egg whites and veggie breakfast for the ultimate bodybuilder! Thanks, Lee 🙂

    Hi, Lee.
I’ve faced little problem for last two years. I can not stop eat what I want and what I’m sure not healthy for my body. I have been working our for 9 months and can not say result is awesome(I know that it takes a lot of time to get ripped GOOD).
Maybe you can give me some tips how to forget food I like and choose to eat more healthier products.
    Thanks 😉

  • shaun webster

    hey lee….
    I am a vegetarian,though i eat eat eggs & non-veg sometimes.
it will be a great help if you could give some high protein vegetarian recipes for me and my veg. counterparts. i agree it may not be as effective as the non veg one but still….

    thnx.

  • TinyTim

I like to use fat free shredded cheese rather than the slices you use but it pretty much is the same.

  • Nice website, I am bookmarking your website. Thanks John
