Bodybuilding Contest Results…

We just had an ACTION Packed Weekend with our local Bodybuilding Championships here in Newfoundland.

There was a record number competitors with 65 men and women competing in the show.
That’s A LOT of competitors especially considering that we are a pretty small province population wise.

Both my girlfriend Trish and I competed.
I placed 3rd in the Light-Heavyweight Division. But the BIG success was with Trish, she won The Figure Short Class, The Figure Masters (over 35 class), as well as the Figure Overall Title.
I’m super happy for her!

Below are a few pics from the show as well as some that I took Sunday the day after the show.
I’ll be posting up some more pictures as we get them. There were lots of photographers at the show, but not everyone has their pictures uploaded yet.

Click on the images to see the full size photos.

P.S.
Besides Trish and myself competing, we also coached 4 other competitors who competed at the same show this past weekend. All 4 of our coaching students made incredible physique transformations over the course of their pre-contest training.

I’ll be posting up some of their “Before” & “After” pics over the next week and share some insights as to the diet & training strategies that worked the best.

So stay tuned for that!

  • Congrats guys. You’re a lucky man Lee. 😉
Just a thought, in fact something i thought a few weeks back, you don’t reckon you may have actually dropped your bodyfat too low Lee? Again it’s only an opinion, but I think you look much better with just a bit more bulk.

When it comes to bodybuilding competition there is really no such a thing as having “too little bodyfat”. The leaner and harder the better when it comes to placing high. The guys who placed ahead of me were actually leaner than I was.

That pic of the ladies on stage is the masters class, which is 35 and over. Many of those ladies were in their 40’s and they are in awesome shape!

In competition body fat is not necessary nor bulk. Judges are looking for definition. If Lee gains a little more body fat it will hide definition in it peak and the bulk will do nothing but look big is something any bodybuilding competitor would know. Like Dorian Yates weighing over 235 lbs in muscle weight in a competition. Peace 🙂

Congrats to both you and Trish; I know you guys work really hard at this. I must say Lee, that with the amount of time you spend helping others rather than yourself, you are in incredible shape.. At 59 I know I’ll never look like you but after discovering you a couple of years ago, I can honestly say you’ve changed my life and other people have noticed it.

For all of us out here that look forward to reading your blog, purchasing product, and getting your tips, we thank you.

My hearty congrats to win further more.
