Well I’m off to sunny Las Vegas to check out the Mr. Olympia competition.
My early prediction is that if Jay Cutler hits his peak just right, he’ll walk away as the champ. But that’s all speculation, you never know what’s going to happen until show day.
The cool thing about the Olympia competition now is that it’s a level playing field and any number of guys could take the title. Unlike in years past where the same guy would dominate the show year after year.

I personally think Jay Cutler deserved the title before many times, but due to given fact that the same guy dominated year after year, he really didnt get his shot. But lately I’ve been surprised over his hard work and dedication!

I personally want Kai Greene to win, I think the guy is an amazing inspiration but the way things go now days it seems like Jay is most likely to win, though I would be over the moon If Kai wins =D

Judging by what I saw in this months Flex magazine, I’m going to have to go with Phil heath. Normally I’m a huge Jay fan but judging by those pictures I just feel that Jay really isn’t as defined as Heath or even Kai Green. Yes I know that definition isn’t everything and Jay certainly destroys almost everyone with his mass but I feel this year he is lacking. For example on the back and bi’s pose,Jay is shunned aside by Heath and Green (If you haven’t seen the pictures,Kai Green’s back is imense) Altough I’m still hopeful that Jay can pull it out of the bag I feel that his student, Heath, will overtake him to claim the title!

im hoping it will be jay, but as lee said, its a level playing field now and we will never know until the competition day itself. and i agree that nowadays it is different from the times when one guy will pwn the others. however, this brings bodybuilding to the next level as well, instead of giving non-bodybuilders/bodybuilders-to-be the impression that bodybuilding is a ‘one-own-all’ kind of sport.

Phil Heath looks incredible. i thought he should of beaten kai in the arnold this year, he’s in great shape and will be a real contender, along with kai and jay, victor has a chance as well. But i’m hoping Phil Heath walks away with the title

Man I can predict no one. it can b anyone I guess. Kai has good hams, Cutler has owsum abs n thighs Frank houser has big n blocky abs with Huge thighs n he also has a good upper body. I don’t think I can predict. 😛

I’m rooting FOR Hidetada Yamagishi. I think he has good proportions, and I’d like to see someone from East Asia win the O. I’m rooting AGAINST Kai Greene… yes, he has an amazing physique, and I know we as bodybuilders have come a long way since the Golden Age (60’s/70’s). There use to be a sense of pride champion bodybuilders had in both their physique AND appearance. Nose rings, dreadlocks, and headstands on stage just don’t fly with me.
I think Victor Martinez will take it this year, and I think Roelly Winklaar will be the new guy to watch. If he keeps up his training and keeps qualifying, I look forward to Winklaar v Greene as the new Coleman v Cutler rivalry.

probably Jay or Dexter but watch out for watvh out for Roelly Winklerif not this year in the very near future. And as a sentimental Aussie and fellow short arse (you can relate to this Lee). with Lee Priest returning to the sport i would love see him on the podium. Phil Heath will win it unless Jay can get as cut as Phil or Kai. Branch will get 4th or 5th; last year was just a one time thing. Kai 2nd or most likely 3rd. Dexter 4th or 5th and Victor 6th and Tony 6th.

kai was really dissapointing, he’s came way out of shape, i don’t know if i would even place him in the top 6 now. phil, victor, and jay stood out for me. dennis wolf made has came along way since last year as well, he might get into the top 6 this year
